Leonids Spectacular!, Nov. 18 2001...Frank Sheldon
Hi All,--Kathy & I made it into our yard at 5:00 a.m. sharp and the show was in full progress! Now I wish I had gotten up earlier. We aimed our lawn chairs directly at Leo which was in the Southeast approaching culmination. It never stopped... tiny short streaks to long fat "smokers". alas no bolides. So even with that hours or so, it was the best I have ever seen and I've been around the block. Don, I hope you had your film camera and kept it open!
Clear Skies! (will they never end?)
Frank
