Tuckahoe State Park

During the summer months when the park is open the observing site will be at the baseball field in the camping area at Tuckahoe State Park.

In the winter we observe at the Equestrian center.

Observing at Tuckahoe is limited to members of the Delmarva Stargazers only. This is a park mandate to protect both us and the park with a limited guard force.

From Bay Bridge: Take RT 50 East to RT 404 East to Queen Anne turn left on RT 480 go a short distance and turn left on Eveland Rd. follow to end then turn right on Crouse Mill Rd then a quick left on Cherry Lane.
From the North: Take RT 301 south, turn left on RT 304 to Ruthsburg turn right on RT 481 go 2 miles and turn left on Crouse Mill Rd go 2 miles and turn left on Cherry Lane.

Procedures
and Rules
1) Call the Park office (410-820-1668) 24 hours in advance to notify them you
will be observing at the park. Identify yourself as a Delmarva Stargazer club member.2) During the Summer months we observe from the baseball field( not the Youth Camping
Area). In the Winter, November to March we observe at the Equestrian Center.3) Observing at Tuckahoe is restricted to Delmarva Stargazers dues paid members only. Contact Don Surles 302-653-9445 with any questionsDO NOT
share the gate combination with non-Delmarva Stargazer observers4) Close and lock the gate after you enter – do this for your own
protection since the ranger force is limited particularly in the winter months.

The observing area must be left in the condition it was found, any unusual circumstances, damage or activity should be reported to the park rangers and the club president.
